ACTORS HEADSHOT FAQ's

     Where are you based?

I'm based in Bounds Green, North London. I mostly shoot on location close by at Alexandra Palace where we have great natural light. If choosing the deluxe package I have state of the art studio lighting equipment at my home for studio shots. It's a short walk from Bounds Green underground but I have a car so I can also collect you from the station of you have mobility issues or the wether is poor.

How long do the the sessions last?

Depending on if you choose the Standard or Deluxe session they last 2/3 hours. Generally as long as we need to see great results. Sessions usually start at 11 or 2:30 (11 tends to give us more options for the outdoor shots.)

     What should I bring?

Theres no perfect answer to whats right to wear for headshots. Your casting type, personality and career goals will influence this - if in doubt, call me prior to your session to discuss in more detail.  Avoiding busy patterns or logos is a sensible move.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Make sure you have plenty of sleep the night before your session and have drunk lots of water (it shows!).

     How do you accept payment?

Cash or online payment on the day.

How do I choose which shots to be edited?

After your session I send you a link to an online gallery with all your images uploaded. Once you have made your decisions you just email me their numbers and I get to work on editing the images.

What do you mean by Editing images?

I do a mixture of photoshop techniques on the final headshots to make them look great and capture you at your best. For actors I dont fully airbrush skin etc as the shots need to be accurate representations of the actor the casting director meets on the day. But i do make sure there are no tempory spots or belmishes that you wouldnt want.  EDIT EXAMPLE

     Do you shoot at weekends?

Yes, without extra fee, but only for the 11am sessions and please be aware that the outdoor locations are more likely to have passers by than midweek.
